  Creating Files in Adobe Acrobat

For landscape business cards your file should measure 91 x 61mm, this includes 3mm bleed. The finished card will be trimmed to 85 x 55mm. Sizes for other items, and a helpful animation explaining bleed can be found here: File Preparation Tutorial

Your file should not contain any cutting/trim marks, printers marks or similar as these will be printed on your cards.

Your file should only consist of one page. Multi-page documents should be split and re-saved with one page per document.

If possible, your file should be created in CMYK colour format to ensure the most accurate colour reproduction. We can accept RGB files, but there is a risk that some of the colours may not print exactly as they appear on your screen.

If you have an area of solid black within your document, 100% black (K) alone will not result in a solid, saturated black. Instead, please use Rich Black, as represented by C:100% / M:30% / Y:30% / K:100%.

All fonts should be embedded and files should contain no transparency.

Type 0 fonts should not be used. Fonts should be Type 1, Truetype or Opentype.

Please note: PDF files can contain special features which are not immediately visible when viewing in Acrobat, but which will not print correctly. It is therefore very important that, once you have uploaded your file, you check your on-screen preview very carefully and do not proceed if your file does not, in any way, look as you require.
