For landscape business cards your file should measure 91 x 61mm, for portrait it should be 61 x 91mm, this includes 3mm bleed on each edge. The finished card will be trimmed to 85 x 55mm.

Sizes for other items, and a helpful animation explaining bleed can be found on our file preparation tutorial

Your file should not contain any cutting/trim marks, printers marks or similar as these will be printed on your cards.

Very fine text, rules and keylines should be avoided.

If possible, your file should be created in CMYK colour format to ensure the most accurate colour reproduction. We can accept RGB files, but there is a risk that some of the colours may not print exactly as they appear on your screen.

If you have an area of solid black within your document, 100% black (K) alone will not result in a solid, saturated black. Instead, please use Rich Black, as represented by C:100% / M:30% / Y:30% / K:100%.

Images placed into your document should be at least 300dpi at the size they are to be used.

Please ensure that none of the colours used have been set to overprint, as this will cause unexpected results.

All text must be converted to outlines/paths. Outlining eliminates the need to send fonts along your files, while maintaining a nice, crisp typeface.

Transparency and layers should be flattened

You should ensure that your file includes a bounding box. Simply create a box, 91 x 61mm, with no fill and no stroke. Position it to match the edge of your page and send it to the back. This will ensure your EPS is the correct size.

Your file should then be saved an a EPS.

.CDR files cannot be uploaded, and should be re-saved as EPS.
