Or create your own file from scratch
For business cards, create a new file 91 mm x 61 mm at 300 pixels/inch. Colour mode should be CMYK. For postcards create a new file 151.5 x 108 mm.
Page sizes for other products can be found here.
Select File > New > Drawing.
To adjust the size of the document select Format > Page. For business cards set the size to 91 mm x 61 mm and for A6 postcards to 151.5 mm x 108 mm. These dimensions include the bleed of 3 mm (8.5pt) for and business cards and 1.5 mm (4.2pt) for postcards.
Set all the margins to 0.00cm, this will give you a warning when pressing the OK button. Answer the warning with yes and carry on with your design.

Trim and text area
For business cards create guides 3mm and 6mm from each edge, and for postcards create guides 1.5mm and 4.5mm from each edge.
To create your card in the safe zone you can create guidelines by dragging them out from the ruler. For business cards set the guides to 3mm, 6mm, 55mm and 58mm vertically and 3mm, 6mm, 85mm and 88mm horizontally. For postcards set the guides to 1.5mm, 4.5mm, 103.5mm and 106.5mm vertically and 1.5mm, 4.5mm, 147mm and 150mm horizontally.

You are now ready to create your design within this template.
Please note, nothing should extend to the outer edge of the document other than items that extend right to the edge of your cards, like a background colour or all-over image for example. For more information on "bleed", please refer to our file preparation tutorial.
The first guide lines (3mm for business cards or 1.5mm for postcards) show where the cards will be cut. The inner guides (6mm for business cards and 4.5mm for postcards) show the 'safe' area for your design. You should try to keep your all your text and images within the inner guides to avoid the possibility of anything on your cards being 'clipped' when we cut them.
Very fine text, rules and keylines should be avoided.
